3M Views for Barbeque Nation with a Chef Takeover: 4 Chefs, 12 Reels, Strong On-ground Buzz
Barbeque Nation wanted the special recipes to feel like a real food moment - not just another restaurant post. We built a chef-led creator activation by bringing in recognised chefs and MasterChef creators, supported by our wider influencer attendance wave. The result was a high-energy, high-trust content push that made audiences curious, created urgency, and helped drive visits to try the recipes.
The Challenge
This was a limited-time food experience. To make it work, the campaign needed more than reach.
Barbeque Nation needed:
- Trust: People should feel the food is worth trying.
- Urgency: People should feel like visiting this week.
- Local energy: The outlet should look active and trending, not empty.
Our Objective
- Our goal was to drive restaurant visits and menu trials for the special recipes
- Our goal was to build high-quality content that feels premium and real
- Our goal was to create local buzz through creator attendance and collaboration stories
Our Big Idea
Turn the activation into a chef-led moment.
Instead of typical influencer food posts, we made chefs the centre of the story. When chefs talk about recipes, the content feels more credible, more exciting, and more share-worthy.
Our Strategy
- Chef-first storytelling: We made chef creators the face of the campaign.
- Experience-led content: We focused on food visuals, reactions, and the dining vibe.
- Collab distribution: We used collaboration posts so content appears across creator and brand visibility.
- Attendance wave: We invited more creators to attend and post quick stories to make it feel like a real event day.
Our Execution (What we delivered)
- We identified and onboarded chef creators for the activation
- We set the content direction (hooks, shots to capture, key talking points)
- We managed coordination for the on-ground day (coverage and posting)
- We enabled collaboration stories from additional influencers to amplify local buzz
Our Content Playbook (Simple, high-performing format)
- Hook: “Chef special”, “limited time”, “must-try recipes”
- Visuals: Grill shots, plating, close-ups, first-bite reactions
- Proof: Chef presence and the crowd energy
- CTA: Location / visit prompt / try the menu
Why our approach worked
- Chef credibility made the content feel premium (not like a normal ad)
- Strong food visuals created instant craving
- Limited-time urgency helped audiences decide faster
- Multiple creators posting together made it look big and happening
Results
The chef-led content delivered 3 million total Reels views and created strong buzz through collaboration stories. The activation built high intent to visit and helped more audiences come in and try the special recipes.
To make this section even more impact-worthy, we can add: story reach, engagement, saves/shares, booking clicks, and any footfall uplift (if the brand shared it).
